A Collection of Supernatural Motel Signs

As I've been prepping the Season 8 motels post I was admiring the motel sign in the show. So I put this together for tumblr. Thought I'd share it here also.






I love 'em! They have such a great variety of motel signs and I love the different ways they shoot them.

Thank you for the effort and time! As always really interseting (and also all the pretty). Do we think they're actually all 'custom made' - that seems very expensive. I'm guessing some must be real motel signs. Now I want to know which they came up with themselves. Ceder Lodge, Green Valley Motel and Astoria Hotel sound rather generic. Too Tired and Day-Z Motel sound too good to be real.

I imagine it's a mix of both? And I've just realised I missed one of my favourite motels The Centre Motel Hotel (http://www.citycentermotorhotel.com). They've used this motel a number of times and it's had both its original name and custom names (and now I'm going to create an addition set I think).

"Too Tired" is probably my fave because the motel room has a motoring theme - including a room divider made of tires. :)

I may take you up on that. I was thinking of a tour of motels via Sam&Deans misadventures in the bedroom ;) so if you happen to have the info on the actual eps the motels were in, that would help immensely!

This is so cool to see them all together like this. They are so colorful and so many different styles. I'm particularly fond of the owl, the yellow crown, and the obnoxiously bright blue, yellow, and green Bluebird Motel sign. Thanks for posting these. 8-)
