Vid notes:

Even though I have had limited vidding time it doesn't feel right if I'm not tinkering with something. I've had this song sitting in my "possibilities" folder for a long time now. I wanted to make some sort of apocalyptic vid and it wasn't until the episode "The End" aired that I was able to get the footage I wanted.

Therefore this vid is somewhat self indulgent. I adored the way they filmed the shooting down of the zombies (more cinematic than telematic), so I just had to play with it. Then of course I had to indulge myself with these lyrics:

This is the end, beautiful friend

Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end

Of course, I know SPN won't end this way (mainly because they have already given this to us), but I do love the idea that this is how it is supposed to end - no matter what they do. And yes, I can't wait to see what they do do to escape this outcome...

That is so incredibly sad. Nice use of some clips that haven't been used a lot (yet). The coloring and--I think--lensing maybe? of that warlike scene was so unusual for SPN, and you used it well here to give the feeling of almost another story entirely.

I hope Show doesn't go this way. I'm afraid it might. Beautiful sad vid.

Hi. Thank you so much. This would indeed be a very sad way to end - I'm pretty sure it won't go that way, but it's nice playing with the idea of it.

and you used it well here to give the feeling of almost another story entirely.

In fact, I really struggled to reconcile the beginning of the vid to the end of it, because, yes - it could be a different story to the one in the show. I was somewhat aware of that when I was making the vid because I only wanted to give a kind of "backdrop" to the future And kind of juxtapose the physical battles in the beginning with the boys emotional battle at the end.

Oops. Ranted a bit...
