I LOVED this moment so much. This is the Sam I know and love. His sheer will power had enough strength to fight against Lucifer's supernatural power. What a hero! <3

Even though I didn't find the episode riveting I thought it was a very good episode. Berens always manages to make me like the myth arc much more than I usually do. I thought it was well handled and he gave each character some important notes. That Lucifer speech at the end must have made Rick Springfield giddy with joy. They're rare in TV I think. Rick delivered it perfectly.

I like that Lucifer doesn't have a plan - just random havoc. It helps make sense of why he kept them all alive (something that continually bugs me). He wants to make them suffer by making them watch what he's doing.

I'm even enjoying Cas and Crowley working together. :) I particularly liked this shot:



Just something about these two powerful supernatural beings made to look so small (and ineffectual) after Sam and Dean leave them. It was amusing and quite poignant.

Dean totally rocked the leather jacket and sunglasses! So good to see the boys dressed in leather. *SWOON* More please!

(As I said on twitter) - I don't want to say how much I'm loving s12 for fear of jinxing it. I don't want to jinx it!

no arguments here - I actually enjoyed this one more than 06 I think, but my enjoyment might have been a tad skewed by BAMF Sam and all that leather...I hope we are going to see them getting more wear out of those outfits in spite of Dean's aversion to skinny jeans!

Their outfits were definitely a highlight! I enjoyed it but I'm not sure it outdid any eps so for in s12 for me. But then, I am a sucker for the MoTW eps or ones that feature mostly the boys :). I hope they don't forget they have those jackets!

Sam Fucking Winchester - too right. I love it when we get Sensitive!Sam and BAMF!Sam in the same episode :)

And yes to the leather, and I'm loving Castiel and Crowley together too.

But most of all I'm loving the brothers being together :)

Agreed! It seems SO long since we've have the boys together without some underlying secret or tension between them. Any arguments are quickly resolved and merely showing their different perspectives. I'm loving this season for that. :)

A new job means that I'm taking the train down to London 3 or 4 days a week, so I decided to do a complete SPN rewatch from the beginning. I'm up to early S4 (and oh, how upsetting the S3 finale was, so painfully sad!) and I'm really not liking rewatching the boys having secrets from one another :(

I'm with you all the way, it wasn't an earth shattering episode, but it held my attention throughout and there was plenty to enjoy. Like you said, the Lucifer speech was pivotal, and set up why he hasn't killed them yet as well as an ominous threat for the future.

(I'm loving Lucifer this season - keep it up, Show!!!)

Yeah, I'm liking Lucifer much better this season. I mean, I'm not sure he should have returned at all (especially as they haven't really made a thing of it in terms of Sam's initial sacrifice), but I think they are handling it better so far this season (personal opinion of course! *g*
