Thinking out loud...

Pardon me while I muse out loud about all these vids I'm thinking about at the moment .... Strangely enough this actually helps get my thoughts in place and it might just help me decide which one of these to commit to. I often look back on these posts as a reminder of what I was thinking at the time. (And yes, I'm starting to itch because it's been a week since I open my editing program...)

So:

Crackish Cas/Dean vid to Wind Beneath My Wings. I have actually started this and sometimes it makes me giggle out loud, but then I think I'll be the only one who understands the joke. Plus deliberately making a "Bad Vid" is tricky. I think it's just gonna look like all my other vids.... *eep*

Impala Vid: I've wanted to make an Impala vid for ages and thanks to the amazing secretlytodream I have the perfect piece of music. But. It's hard. It's instrumental and I imagine it having that kinda look Loki achieves in her vids. But. That doesn't come easy to me. If in fact it will come at all. (which I doubt actually). So just the fact that it'll be hard and time consuming is keeping me away from it. But the challenge excites me. Argh.

Sam vid After making my Dean vid, I want to make a Sam vid. I have finally settled on a song. The lyrics tell exactly the story I want to tell, but the song itself I'm not 100% sure about. But. What the heck. I can't stop thinking about it, so I'm going to go with it.

Castiel vid This amuses me a bit because I wouldn't say I'm a huge Cas fan. But he's growing on me and I heard a song recently (a Mika song can you believe it!?) that I think would be great for a Jimmy/Castiel vid. It'll be short and (hopefully) atmospheric so that appeals to me at the moment.

Sam/Dean schmoopy, feel good vid OMG. I heard this song and just thought of the boys and I think it might be on the top of my list at the moment. Quite different for me (song wise) , but I just picture all those yummy bro!love moments.

Farewell to Jo and Ellen vid This will be bitter/sweet, (more sweet then bitter) but I'm not sure whether to actually keep the song until the end of the season and include all the other characters that will be (no doubt!) killed off?! OR strike while the iron's hot. Hmmmm..... *ponders*


Damn! That's too many. But feel free to nudge me if any of these sound appealing. :)

This morning it was 45 folders. Then I accidently stumbled across information about a show I had decided not to watch - Eastwick. People were raving on how it was a Charmed ripoff.

So I checked if anyone had made a Eastwick in the Charmed style vid and came up empty. So I decided the void needed filled.

That's generally what happens. My fandom is all of television, whether I watch the shows or not. A good fit is a good fit. :D

I started playing with the vid and in fact I discovered some nifty effects that I didn't know I could do but damn! It just doesn't come intuitively to me. I get the sense that you just know how to make a vid look the way you want it to instinctively. :D

And yes. If I get this going I'll definitely be tapping you on the shoulder. *smish*

Bro!love is looking less likely - as it's probably more angsty than I had orginally planned. (Due to the song) But we'll see....

And still more times than less I open vegas and I can sit there for a pretty long time, trying to figure out what colors would go better with the song, what kind of editing, what concept, you know? It's not always that I see the image right away in my head wen I listen to the song.

Hee! Not sure it will be a pairing as such... I forget that slash can me a pairing. Though I originally wrote Ellen/Jo and thought , ah no... that's not what I'm meaning... :)

And yes! SAAMMMMM I am so torn with the song I've picked though because it's like yay lyrics my love is revenge and it being a bit, um... naff is the only word I know but I think that's an Aussie expression. But I think I'll be playing with that vid sooner rather than later.. :)

I understand your dilemma with the Jo/Ellen vid. Like I'd mentioned previously, I have an idea for one myself. I'm just wondering if I have enough footage with just the two of them, and if I incorporate the guys into it as well, what does that do to the POV.

Heya. Yeah, I have this song and on the one hand I'd love to make it for Jo and Ellen, but equally I might save it OR use it just to make a S5 kinda recap for Christmas.... oh the dilemma! :D It's short so that's why I thought I might be able to do Jo and Ellen for it.

There's not a huge amount of footage of them though - so yeah, the song you have would either need to be shortish, or .... hmmm, I see what you mean about POV.... tricky. But I'm sure you'll work it out. :)

Thanks darl. Oh you have an Impala idea too? It's weird eh? I'd usually want to do something lighthearted but I really want to show how the car is with them through thick and thin. So it'd be kinda reflective. But the effects are holding me back on that one, particularly as I'm don't use effects very often.

Hee! Though the more I listen to the song the more it's feeling like and angsty Sam/Dean with a side of schmoop.... not sure yet. The lyrics are angsty and the tune is kind boppy.... *eek*

And the schmoopy one may end up being more angsty than schmoopy - I've been listening to the song more and more and the lyrics are quite ansgsty, but the tune is fairly cheery. Strange one...
