Vid rec... (with a little rantiness)

ash48I have to admit I have had a love/hate relationship with the way Supernatural has broken down the forth wall and made fans look at themselves. The love part is that I find it interesting as a filmic device and it fascinates me that the show has made a decision to go there but the hate part (and there may bit a more of that than love), is the way they did it.
Ever since Becky read out her fanfic story I sometimes catch myself "looking at myself" whenever I'm reading fic (particularly Wincest). Now, I realise that this is probably just me, but I haven't decided if show is making fun of or having fun with the fans when they do this. It just hasn't felt comfortable to me.

secretlytodream made this promo for Big Bang 2010 and it kinda turned all that on it's head a bit and it filled me with glee!
To me the vid's a celebration of all thing fic and fandom. And (to me) is a bit of an "up yours" to Show for scrutinizing us somewhat unfavorably when it comes to our enjoyment of reading fanfic.
*koff* Or am I reading too much into it?! I have been doing a lot of thinking lately it would seem....
Either way. It's a wonderful vid and if I wrote fic I'd be tempted to join in!!
