Quick Question.....

Damn! I'm always asking questions...

But. You are all so wise.... *flutters eyelashes*

You know the episode Changing Channels... well, each time they slipped into a TV show they were specific references to actual tv shows right? There was CSI Miami and Knight Rider and I take it that the hospital one was Grey's Anatomy? I've never watched the show, but they were referencing that show specifically weren't they? (I'd love it if you could tell me it was another hospital drama but I'm pretty sure it was that one specifically yeah..?)

Also, I haven't watched any sitcoms for a while and wondered if that opening sitcom was referencing a particular show? I'm pretty sure it was a kind of "generic" sitcom and was there just so they could do the opening title sequence to the actual show. But as every other show they were caught in seemed to be based on a particular show I wondered if that one was as well?

The theme song was reminiscent of the sitcom Full House, which starred Bob Saget and John Stamos, but the scenes themselves weren't referencing any one sitcom in particular. They used the basic sitcom tropes of the audience hooting and hollering over the sexy girl in the bedroom, the laugh track, and the clapping when Sam walked in.

Hi there. thanks so much. Full House has been mentioned a couple of times. I have vague recollections of it, but never watched it.. I'll check it out. (I'm interested in opening title sequences ;) )

It was definitely Grey's Anatomy. I watched it with a fan of the show and she was able to identify all the characters and plot lines and speech patterns they spoofed. I'm not sure about the sitcom though - I hardly watch them.

Ah. I thought so. The bummer is Grey's Anatomy (from what I understand) doesn't have an opening title sequence, which is really what I'm after. It kinda squashes this idea for a vid I am toying with... Just might mean thinking about it a different way. :)

Re: the sitcom. The other poster is right, the font style used in the credits and the way the scenes were shot are very reminiscent of Full House. But it also apes the overall style of 80's sitcom. It also reminded me of The Facts of Life, Perfect Strangers, Growing Pains, and yes--Three's Company.

Yes Full House seems to be one of the major ones. I can't remember it that well. And and yes, Perfect Strangers... I forgot about that one. I do remember that.

Hee! This one, (if it eventuates), will be ages away.. it'll be a biggy if I can get it together.

Though my Sam vid is having some final touches made. Not sure it's working so well at the moment. I mean, it working I think, but it might just be a bit...um... slow or something. Once I hear back from my beta/s I should know where it stands...

Thanks MJ. I forget to check there. I sometimes find it hard to navigate my way around it, but I found the vistor page just now and that made it easier..:)

Oooh, and they mentioned it resembling Laverne and Shirley... that could be quite perfect!
