First up... Have any of you had this from YT? And if so...WTF?? I can make money from my vids by getting revenue from advertisers...?? I wouldn't do this even if it was legit, but what's the story....?? This just doesn't sound right.....

Secondly. Thank you so much for those who watched and commented on Behind Blue Eyes . I really appreciate it. *g* Though I do have to apologise for some of my somewhat wordy responses. I was in that kind of mood the other night and I was having so much fun. I still had some meta in me it would seem. Plus I do love ranting about the vidding process. So, um yeah, sorry about that... :)

Ooh - damn, I have a thirdly....Started to watch Fringe. YAY! It's awesome. Love me some schlock gore and humour. Also starting to watch a show called "Warehouse 13". I haven't seen anyone on my flist mention that show. I 've been enjoying it somewhat. So what the intel on that one?

Damn! Forthly: I just remember I wanted to rec this Man from U.N.C.L.E vid I just watched. Squeeeee... Man, I love that show. And this vid is just so much fun and full of slashy goodness (sixties style!). It's called It's Not Unusual and it's by vysila. Made me smile!



Right... now off to watch my show. As soon as I can boot hubby off the Playstation (and TV!) playing War Hawk, or some such thing. We've just got a program that allows us to stream my show from the computer to the TV which is in the (way more comfortable) living room. But you really didn't need to know that. See, I'm rabbiting on again.. *sigh*

Oh You tube and your confusingways!

I got that messge a while back, from a couple of vids I uploaded which are not mine but 'rare' interview footage I wanted to make sure I kept. I'm pretty sure its legit, but shouldnt they be checking out the vids they offer it to rather than just basing it on hits?

And now i must go and read all the comments on blue Eyes!

Oh, really? It seems so weird 'cause I don't know how they'd figure out the revenue? Maybe it's per hits on the ad that appears next to the vid..? Curious. I have to say it looked legit.. but, yeah.. wasn't sure.

I got that on a clip I pulled from the Emmys with Neil Patrick Harris which got 80,000 hits in a few hours. Yeah, I never get it for vids I do myself...

I declined. I also pulled the video cause it was skewing the numbers...

Hi. Ok, so it seems this is legit then. But this vid has had only about 17,000 hits. And whereas I'm happy about that it's not exactly huge numbers compared to a lot vids on YT. Even compared to some of my other vids... Hmm.... curious.

I've gotten those messages and looked it up. It is a legit program but its meant for people who do original videos (those like Smosh or Lisa Nova). Not something to do for copyrighted material like fanvids (Youtube is bad enough about pulling vids, signing yourself up is just too risky.

Though... it is tempting to make money off of doing something you love.

Yeah, I've been invited a couple of times but I never own the content so I can't participate. If you do try to sign up they make it pretty explicit that you must own all the content of your vid or they will terminate your YT account and make it sound all threatening. LOL

Oh yes indeed. It's all about money making...

Though I have no idea why this vid has been considered "popular" ... it's had a few hits, but not as many as some of my others..

I won't be doing it anyway.

Ah, no idea about YT, but I have a partnership thingy with Amazon, for reccing books related to the topic on my gecko website, and . . . I got, like, 20 bucks in 2 years, sooo . . . ;-)
