There's nothing quite like waking up in the morning to the celebratory squees from fandom because WE HAVE A SEASON SIX!!!!!!!!!! \o/

The lovely [livejournal.com profile] deirdre_c made a vid a little while a go in order to celebrate this event (she obviously knew this was going to happen! \o/ ), And now she can share it with us all!! It's aptly called "2 Legit 2 Quit". It's a sheer delight (of course!!) And I know I'm going to be singing that song it all day and celebrating the fact THAT WE HAVE MORE EPISODES TO WATCH!! \o/

Also, I know some peeps feel they have been let down by season 5 (and maybe even 4), but for the record... I LOVE' em! They are hard and not full of all those wonderful moments that made up season 1 and 2, BUT I think the show would have stagnated if it hadn't moved in such a strong direction. Sure, there have been some weak episodes and ideas, but as a whole I think both seasons have been remarkably strong (and really..? We have a season 6 to prove that! :D).

Though, dear Kripke, please be finishing this story line this season. Dragging it on through season 6 may just try my patience a bit too much...

I wanted to say how much I have loved seeing everyones abandoned vids.. I know that sounds strange, but to see those glimpses of what could have been has been fascinating. And wow! Some awesome works. Maybe some might just get finished one day.... ;)

I wonder if fic writers ever do an "abandoned fic" meme...? Though I suppose posting 10,000 words or so to say this never got finished, might just not work so well. I think that happens to WIP's quite often anyway. Though opening paragraphs might?? (You can tell I know little about writing yeah?? :D:D )

Also: Vid Rec:

I need to fill you in on some background first to put this in context.

I have an OLF (on line friend) Don't even know if that acronym exists, but there it is. [livejournal.com profile] greyowl88 who I met over at You Tube. She watches a lot of vids and has recently started vidding. However, she is unable to successfully access live footage. (And believe me I tried everything I could to somehow get them to work for her!). So she has to work with stills only.

She recently made this picvid about Sam's blood addiction and I think it's really awesome. Considering she is only limited to promo stills and screen caps she has done a remarkable job of not only putting together a story, but working the footage to simulate movement. Friggin' hats off I say.

It's here if you have a moment to pop over and give her some support. I love seeing what people can do with limited resources and LOTS of passion.

Have a great day everybody!

*sings* too legit, to legit to quit, *and dances a bit too* :D

So far the Life on Mars on is the only one I've had to abandon. And it grates me the wrong way. I can see how it should have turned out but the quality issue still exists.

So I understand how people feel when they have to "let go" of something they feel deeply about.

So I wonder why the quality ended up like that? I assume it doesn't look like that in FC?? So it occurs in the rendering, or exporting phase?

Hmmm..... I figure you know more about this stuff then me, so I assume you've tried everything.

And yes. Letting go is hard. Actually it's more about the time spent. I have so many ideas I want to work on, wasting the time on something that doesn't work is so annoying. But. That's the way it goes...

Well first each of the individual frames was shrunk to 10%. And the whole thing was rendered. It was placed in a second project multiple times and that one was enlarged, sometimes to 200-300%.

That's why the quality went sour.
