Alrighty. Just some fly by thoughts...
I kinda really loved that. (Yay!) There were some nice, very nice moments that made up for some not so nice ones. Please excuse the random rambling...
Loved Death. LOVE LOVED the Oh Death sequence. And I love the way the scene played out with him and Dean. I just couldn't fathom that they could actually kill Death - thrilled they didn't even go there. Hee! He liked the pizza so he'll let Chicago live. (There were some great one liners in the ep).
Crowley is still playing Dean and that kinda annoys me but I'm thinking now that it has some real purpose that may carry on through to season 6. He knew exactly where Death was all that time (His line about the pizza...), but played Dean around before delivering him. Dean will want to get him back at some point I reckon. Plus it makes Crowley more revolting... (I really do not like that man!)
Sam. Oh glorious Sam. So resigned when trying to convince Dean. Knowing Dean wouldn't agree to it. It was like he knew the argument and the way it was going to go but tried anyway. And Sam's scared, but knows it's such a workable option. I never could work out a scenario that I would be happy with with Sam saying yes... but this one? As long as he can fight it, I'll be happy with it.
And I really want him to fight and win. Redemption right there.. and so, so much more.
How wonderful was that conversation was between him and Bobby? Underestimating him. "He's been running into burning building since he was 12". *dies*
I also love that Sam still looks to Dean for what to do. *hearts*
I really thought I was going to be so pissed finding out that Bobby sold (or lent??) his soul... but, I don't know. It was kind of an anti-climax and therefore didn't seem to make me lose it like I thought I would. Desperate times I suppose.
I thought Bobby getting his legs back a bit weird. As in, they needed Bobby walking around so gave him back his legs. Ta Daah! Though I did enjoy the moment of him actually being able to walk. The look on the boys faces (so happy for him) that it made it worth it.
And Cas was back! That actually made me happy. He kinda rounds off the team nicely. Misha brings such a warmth to the screen.
Oh and boys writhing in pain on the floor.. *koff*..'nuff said.
Overall - YAY! Loved the pacing. Show actually took time to slow down and give us some moments. Some discussion.
I am really looking forward to next week. (Just please don't leave us on a cliff hanger going into season 6!)
Yay. Gets to chat about this with real live fangirls tomorrow. Any questions I should be asking the guests?? (not that I'd actually have the courage to speak up I think...)
xx
