Alrighty. Just some fly by thoughts...
I kinda really loved that. (Yay!) There were some nice, very nice moments that made up for some not so nice ones. Please excuse the random rambling...
Loved Death. LOVE LOVED the Oh Death sequence. And I love the way the scene played out with him and Dean. I just couldn't fathom that they could actually kill Death - thrilled they didn't even go there. Hee! He liked the pizza so he'll let Chicago live. (There were some great one liners in the ep).
Crowley is still playing Dean and that kinda annoys me but I'm thinking now that it has some real purpose that may carry on through to season 6. He knew exactly where Death was all that time (His line about the pizza...), but played Dean around before delivering him. Dean will want to get him back at some point I reckon. Plus it makes Crowley more revolting... (I really do not like that man!)
Sam. Oh glorious Sam. So resigned when trying to convince Dean. Knowing Dean wouldn't agree to it. It was like he knew the argument and the way it was going to go but tried anyway. And Sam's scared, but knows it's such a workable option. I never could work out a scenario that I would be happy with with Sam saying yes... but this one? As long as he can fight it, I'll be happy with it.
And I really want him to fight and win. Redemption right there.. and so, so much more.
How wonderful was that conversation was between him and Bobby? Underestimating him. "He's been running into burning building since he was 12". *dies*
I also love that Sam still looks to Dean for what to do. *hearts*
I really thought I was going to be so pissed finding out that Bobby sold (or lent??) his soul... but, I don't know. It was kind of an anti-climax and therefore didn't seem to make me lose it like I thought I would. Desperate times I suppose.
I thought Bobby getting his legs back a bit weird. As in, they needed Bobby walking around so gave him back his legs. Ta Daah! Though I did enjoy the moment of him actually being able to walk. The look on the boys faces (so happy for him) that it made it worth it.
And Cas was back! That actually made me happy. He kinda rounds off the team nicely. Misha brings such a warmth to the screen.
Oh and boys writhing in pain on the floor.. *koff*..'nuff said.
Overall - YAY! Loved the pacing. Show actually took time to slow down and give us some moments. Some discussion.
I am really looking forward to next week. (Just please don't leave us on a cliff hanger going into season 6!)
Yay. Gets to chat about this with real live fangirls tomorrow. Any questions I should be asking the guests?? (not that I'd actually have the courage to speak up I think...)

And Sam? Sam is just awesome. 'Nuff said. Apart from there shoulda been more hugs.
Questions for the guests. Hmmmmm. I wanna know if Misha didn't act what would he do? Chef? Mountaineer? Monastery? OR Who was his most memorable teacher was growing up and why.

There really is just never enough hugs is there...?! (Better be some next week!)
oooh I would have loved to have asked the one about a memorable teacher. There were so many people wanting to ask Misha questions I didn't even attempt to get one in. I did ask Sam Ferris on though.. :)

Date: 2010-05-07 01:20 pm (UTC)I absolutely feel the same way. I am actually astonished at how my satisfaction with Sam and his relationship with Dean, his own life, and his destiny has soared. He's a battered boy, but he's not broken. And Dean's not broken. And do you get the feeling that they actually like each other again? How long has it been since our boys had the gentle, sad teasing with each other? I didn't hear any bitterness there. They be brothers.
How fun to go to a con... I probably should know this, but is this an official one? Are the Js guests?

Date: 2010-05-08 10:44 pm (UTC)Yeah ... I loved the "brotherness" in this episode. Oh boys. There's a sad resignation about what they have to actually do... But their love and friendship shone through.
And the con didn't have the Js there. It was official and all. I'll be posting about it sometime soon (ish).

Date: 2010-05-07 02:33 pm (UTC)Death was great, not over the top as I'd imagined they'd make him but intense and not very interested in anything but being free, aloof a good trait!
Bobby getting his legs back was a surprise but a good one.
Cas - he makes me giggle every time they make him deadpan and his accidental humour is all the funnier.
Sam, in hero mode and about time - I mean it in a good way, it's nice to like the big guy again (after the demon blood thing). Glad he and Dean are working together and needing each other.
My only uh? of the show was Dean's comment about cheating Death that he made to Bobby. If Death was the incredible being that he stated he was wouldn't he know that Dean was lying and so, why go a long with the plan?
As for questions I'm sorry I'm not sure but I'm eager to hear how your day goes. Have lots of fun anyway.

Yeah, interesting. Though I suspect that Death knows that even though Dean may have been lying at the table, when the time comes Dean will let Sam do what he has to do. Which makes it very sad really. It ties into more of the destiny stuff they keep on about. So far, things look to be heading that way... :(
we'll see. I can't wait to see what happens. :D

Date: 2010-05-07 04:12 pm (UTC)I agree with the things you said (I know, I know, lame comment...lol). But I like Crowly. He is so wonderfully ennoying.
I'm so happy for you going to the con. You could tell Misha you promised a friend to bring her back a hug from him so that way he would have to hug you.......*g*.
Anyway, looking forward to what you have to tell when you come back! :DDD

Yes. I'm happy to be happy also. :D
Hee! I saw Misha - I gotta say he is a gorgeous looking man. More so in RL than has Cas actually. though no hugs allowed. They had a strict policy on that. :( But fair enough I suppose.
I'll be posting about my adventures soon (ish).
Cheers,

Date: 2010-05-09 10:56 am (UTC)Ha ha, trying to get me all embarrassed here....it's working....*hugs*
I guess Misha would've gotten crushed to death with all the *hugs* and *clings* if they would've been allowed, lol.
*waits for soon(ish) to hear about your con experience*

Yeah, the ep had its ups and downs. But mostly I liked it.
Hee! Crowley accent... I can take Crowley in small doses. I don't like it when he makes Dean look like a fool though... grrrr
Yay have fun tomorrow!! :)
I DID have lots of fun! I'll be posting about it soon (ish).

Date: 2010-05-08 10:59 pm (UTC)I'll be posting about the day soonish - Misha was a very interesting man. In that most of his answers were jokes. He was very funny and wonderfully entertaining, but you never got the feeling he was letting too much out. He's also a nutter! A completely lovable one though. And damn cute too!
