IF... I was contemplating a kind of homage to bromance in television vid who should I include? I'm narrowing it down to TV bromance only. But any era.

So far I'm thinking:

Sam and Dean (of course!)
Peter and Neal (where the inspiration came from. How adorable are those two!?)
Sherlock and John (Sherlock)
Starsky and Hutch (by first bromance love <333)
Simon and Simon (My second bro bromance love (after The Hardy Boys that is...).
Bodie and Doyle (The Professionals - am I losing some of you by now? /o\)
Solo and Kuryakin (The Man from UNCLE)
Apollo and Starbuck (The original boys - yes, yes I'm showing my age... again. )

As you can see a lot of these are kinda *koff* ancient. So, who am I missing? I'm not thinking along the lines of say the guys from Leverage. That's more about the 5 of them rather than just the two.

Any thoughts...??

The Sentinel is a funny fandom because the show itself, by and large, is pretty bad. The leads are charismatic and had great chemistry, and the premise, while a bit cracky (okay, a lot cracky) has a lot of juice to it. But the scripts, with a few exceptions, weren't very strong, it was filmed on a very tight budget and a lot of the supporting actors weren't as talented as they could be.

That said, the fic it inspired is amazing. I actually read fic in the fandom for nearly two years before I ever even saw an episode.

The premise features two guys who live together, work together, have pet names for each, and can't get any of their female relationships to take. Jim literally needs Blair to survive, yet because of a mistake he makes, Blair is murdered only to return to life when something of Jim lures him back. Blair sacrifices his honor and identity for Jim's sake, and Jim feels the weight of that sacrifice. There is hurt/comfort galore. The setup is the stuff of fannish dreams. I'm very fond of the fandom.

For your purposes, though, footage of the show isn't all that easy to come by. Only the first season (of three and a half) is on DVD. I found digitized footage of the other eps, and downloaded it, but that was years ago. I honestly don't recall where I got it from.

Wow, it sounds so interesting. And h/c galore? Definitely sounds like something I need to tap into.

And for something like this (if I did go ahead with it), would only require a very short amount of footage. Seconds probably. There would probably something streaming somewhere I could, um.... *koff*... borrow... *g*.

Oh yay! So peeps are still writing about them? I wondered because that show is like 10 years old. :)

Ancastar has been telling me all about previous fics and I've discovered some podcasts that exist and as soon as I have time I'll be tapping into them.

She sent me one of her favourite Sentinel vids and that's what got me hooked! :)
