Even though this is a simple little story vid it seems to have taken forever(!) to come together. I've been wanting to vid to this song for a while - since the beginning of S3, but I needed to wait to see if there would be an episode that had Dean changing his mind about The Deal. Then (yay!) - "Dream a Little Dream" came a long and I had what I needed to tell the story. Also, the vid itself just didn't play nice there for a while.

This is not flashy in any way (which bothered me for a bit) but I'm pretty satisfied with it now- mainly due to the awesome work of my lovely beta sharvie who helped me work out the knots in my initially tangled story line. Thanks again babe.

Also, special hugs to hay1ock who said exactly the right words to give me the confidence to post it. I appreciate it hun.

Really? Wow - thank you so much. And I mean that honestly - I've been pretty nervous about this one. I kept looking at it thinking it's so simple but I love that you said it was subtle. \O/. Hee! Oh yeah, totally been there ;) so I know how you feel, but girl seriously, THESE are the types of vids I love and you honestly are one of the few vidders where I run to go watch when they post a new video.

This was beautiful and that scene at 1:44 with "I felt connected" literally got me choked up. Effects and flashy are nice but really, I'll take a video that gets to me emotionally any day.

I was really fighting this trying to think of ways to add effects or doing something wiz bang, but they kept getting in the way so I kept it simple in the hope the story would be enough.

WOW - thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review.

It's wonderfully refreshing to hear what worked for you and just as importantly what didn't.

The Dean close ups just "felt" right and I worried about some of them being a bit long - but his face always tells such a wonderful story.

I struggled with that bit with him shooting himself and actually my beta pointed that bit out as well. And actually in hindsight it may not have been really necessary. I think I wanted to show him fighting himself. I also wanted to take the important moments from that dream sequence and for me confronting himself and "killing" that part of himself seemed important. But I totally see that it may have worked just as well without it - and that it was a bit "jarring".

You can see I love talking about my vids! Thank you so much taking the time to mention all the things you did and review it to the length you did.
