Firstly, I want to give a huge *smish* and say thanks to those who watched and commented on the vid that maichan808 and I made and posted recently. After working on it for the last 2 months (on and off) and seeing the footage over and over again you (well me...) start to wonder if it's actually working. So the enthusiastic response was very nice. Thank you. It meant a lot. <33

LJ Habit Poll

Thanks to those who participated in my recent (nosy parker) poll. I actually learned a few new things and was fascinated by other people LJ habits. I think I was most surprised by how many don't use rich text (48%). After discovering it recently I thought I might be the only one sticking to html. I was going to do a graph thingy but I got bored with that. (maybe I'm not so geeky after all...*g*)



After my daughter's major disappointment early in the year of not making the athletics state team, she's had a great start to the new season winning Champion Girl at her inter-school competition. She's gone into the season with great determination. Doing heaps of training and feeling positive. I am proud of her I have to say because after that heart breaking disappointment it could have turned her completely off the sport.

Hee! Speaking of proud. I just found our that my niece will be appearing in the next series of Beauty and The Geek in Australia. And yes, I know. /o\ But I suppose it's not an opportunity everyone gets and she said she had a great time filming it. She's been sworn to secrecy so she's not allowed to tell us how she went. She did say she got on well with her "geek". I have no idea what that means. I have never seen the show and it kinda makes me shudder imagining what it's about. But I will be watching it (at least while she is in it). She's the sweetest kid (and gorgeous to boot!) and I am really happy for her.

Hope you are all doing fine this Thursday evening. I have been very chatty and bouncy today. No idea why really. I think I drove my kids and the staff a bit nuts today. I couldn't shut up. (seems like it's spilled over into LJ. About to do a happy ranty SPN post too! :D)

Yes. I'm happy she's enthusiastic still (even after a major stack in the hurdles at the comp.)

Oh.... I haven't asked the hubby yet.

I used to be able to make them here by doing &hearts, but I don't think that works for me anymore.

I think it comes down to which style you view it in. I wonder if you view my entry in my style you'd see them??

That's funny. I noticed that on YT before with some "picture" comments. They just don't make onto my desktop, just show up as words.. Maybe it's not just the keyboard but mac/PC difference...or the australia/germany difference...or....whatever.

Well, they all have love in them, so these: <333 will be just fine with me ^_^

I've only spent three weeks on the one I'm working on (will be posted in a day or two). Another one destined to "languish in Obscurity".

I'm not sure if I like the ones that take this long or rather the ones that give me "instant gratification".

I like a bit of both. My angtsy story type vids usually take ages. But they require a lot more work. The recent one took that long because maichan was pretty busy with other stuff so we did little bits and slowly it came together.

I love the ones I can put together in a couple of days (like the smiling one), because then it doesn't feel like I've slaved over it.

I must say I'd find it hard to work tirelessly on a vid and then have if "languish in Obcurity" as you put it. I mean, I'd like for that not to matter but I'd be lying if I said it didn't. :)

I just posted the new one. And in five hours it's gotten 15 hits. This is definitely a "languish in obscurity" type of vid.
