I feel like I've been spamming you all with vids lately, so apologies for that, but I thank you all kindly for watching and commenting. Always means such a lot to me. So... *HUGS*

Now I feel like I'd like to give something back. (I am totally stealing this idea from proofpudding).

In order to celebrate my final vid_the_grid prompt "colour", I thought I would hold a vid raffle and give you a chance to nominate a song (or idea) you'd like to see vidded. I will put the suggestions into the virtual hat (I will probably do the same thing as PP and get you to vote on a random letter) and that will be the winner. I will then make that vid and use it to fill my final prompt.

Bear in mind that the prompt is colour so I will probably try and incorporate a special colour in some way. (Though starrylizard told me I could just get away with the fact that the vid is in colour.*g*) or if you have an idea that would be good for a colour prompt by all means suggest it.

I've sometimes had requests to vid certain songs so here's your chance to lay it on me! Choose one song (or idea) you'd like to see me do and it will go into the raffle. The only rule (other than just one suggestion) is that it would have to be for Supernatural.

I'll leave this open for a while, so you can have a think if you wish. :)

NB: The song/idea doesn't have to involve colour. Just anything you'd like to see done.


Also... to festivids or not?! Arghhh... looks so cool. I can't decide though. I suppose I better check the time frame but it sounds like a lot of fun and a great way to do something different.

Because I don't have the skill/patience to vid, I just watch and appreciate from afar. But that means I have a stack of songs (and half-baked ideas that are probably lame) that I'd love to see crop up on some of my fav. vidder's project lists...

OO! So I have this ever growing list of vidposses, 99% of which will never see the light of day and that SADDENS ME because I'd love to see them done. I'll have to look and see what I can find! When are you deciding?

But off the time of my head, two ideas. One, have you given anymore thought to that color meta vid? BECAUSE I might have stumbled on a song for you? I mean, it lyrically is out to lunch, but the sound, it just feels very...colory. I may be insane, I'll have to send you a link.

I have another one, U2's "Cedars of Lebanon" that would make such a good 'in the year before S6, sam watches dean from afar' vid. Which I figured could be played up with colors too.

Ooo! Or speaking of U2, smilla's "White As Snow" wish vid, as a melancholy nostalgia comparing where the brothers were versus where they are now, but played up with red and blood seeping through for full affect of the ending?

I would LOVE, LOVE to somehow do the colour meta vid. (and it seems with a prompt like this it's begging to be done). I've just not been able to get my head around how to actually do it and make sense of it. But I would love to hear the song, it might just start the ball rolling.

I will also check out those other suggestion.

Okay, I have indeed asked for a Dean and Sam and Castiel vid set to Wrong by Depeche Mode.

It's the kind of song that I can see being good for all the three characters, especially in season4 to season 5, how each of them with their actions broke the world, I mean caused the Apocalypse and the raising of Lucifer. But I would very much like that the video belied the lyrics, giving a sense of how, by being wrong, in their choices etc, they were also very, very right. I don't know if I'm explaining myself well. In case I win, I'll be talking about this more.

Also, I've wanted a Dean/Cas video to Send me an Angel by the Scorpions, but I would totally understand if you'd rather not do it because it's not your pairing of choice.

Actually you've given me an idea. I was going to put everyone's songs in a "hat" but instead I'll put people in a hat instead and if they get drawn they can choose a song. (from the ones that have made suggestions that is..) Especially as some have more than others.

Oh if you like Tracy Chapman, just listen to the lyrics on that one! Like OMG! I've been meaning to vid it forever, but these days (except for my Phantom crack!vid) I'm not sure when I'll get back to an SPN vid. I'm rather enjoying other topics right now. Hi, I'm a lurker at this here journal... I saw this post when it first went up but was (to be honest) too shy to be the first one to respond... so I waited for others to do it for me.
