So this officially hits the top of my list as the most fun I've had making a vid. This presented a number of new challenges which I relished.

This vid really does show my age! Though not all TV shows are as ancient as me, so there's (hopefully) something for everyone. I've been wanting to do this for a while (ever since "Supernatural 5-0" and "Supernatural Dukes") and I took my time over this (for a change).

Special thanks to the lovely deirdre_c for her encouraging words and to my wonderful beta _sharvie_ whose eye for detail never ceases to amaze me (and keep me on my toes!). These gals helped give it the spit and polish it needed.

Hey Loki, thanks so much hun. I'm thrilled you enjoyed it.

I use Final Cut Express (which I imagine is similar to Vegas).

Overlaying the TV shots was just a matter of scaling down the footage, cropping, centering and tweaking with an effect called a "4 point garbage matte". It took quite a bit of fiddling I have to say.

The MI burning fuse was the hardest and most complicated. It has 4 overlaying shots, one the TV, one the footage, one the burning dot (which I made in Live Type) one the stripe (which is a black clip which I turned white) and then a lot of key framing to make it move. Matching the dot with the moving line and timing it with the wipe transition was the hardest. Hope that answers your questions. If not let me know and I can go into more detail.

Well, i think Final Cut is really kinda similar, as many editing programs, but i dunno how to make such effects in Vegas))

Huh thanks for the explanations hun! Now i see how hard it was to make some scenes - kudos here, great job!
