'cause I am completely inept when it comes to LJ...

Does anyone know how I can increase the font size on my journal. As far as I know it's only about 10 and I want it bigger...

I've been into account settings and all that stuff, but no joy because I have no idea what I am looking for. I want to default it to at least 12pt. Or maybe I have to change my "style".

Ack! I don't know... *runs away from technical stuff* ..

You could just increase the zoom in your browser although I think that will increase the font size on every website.

Other than that, based on the last time I looked at my LJ style, you have to go into the template code itself to increase the font size. Which I can help you with if you want as you need to change the actual CSS code for your template.

Yeah - I generally zoom in on most stuff. Particularly as I view everyone's posts in "my style"..

But someone mentioned to me that my posts are small so I thought I could increase it. It would also mean I didn't have to always zoom when I was doing stuff. (Though I don't all the time),

So yeah... maybe I need some CSS (ack sounds technical!) code help...

Question re: your journal, if you go into Customize you theme and Custom CSS, is there any code there? If there is, copy and paste into a text document (not Word, use notepad or something), send it to me and I should be able to change the appropriate code in there for you. If you dont have any custom CSS then there must be a setting somewhere else to change it.

I'm good. Work has just been stupidly busy leading up to Christmas and any spare time that I have, I generally try to spend on my Festivids.

But Festivids is going good! My main vid is nearly finished, just need to tweak. And then I am working on two treats that I hope I can get done in time.

HA! Yes... when it comes to vids I will hunt down the technical knowledge and work it out! But other tech stuff..... /o\ I just can't figure the LJ stuff. I was amazed when I worked out how to have a picture at the top of my journal. I daren't change anything for fear of loosing it..:)

I didn't try it cause I don't want to chance breaking anything but it does have settings for default font, font size, and line height.

See, this is what I don't understand. It says my default font is 14. Does is look 14 to you? Or do you view my page in your own style?

Try going to the link I gave you. Change the font size and line height. Then view one of your pages and refresh the browser's view.

It will affect how things are seen when they view a page in your style.

I just tried it. My page got extremely huge while your pag was unaffected. It leads me to believe that these settings only affect the look of your page and then you view everyone elses page in the settings they have.

I used to have the CSS in my CSS template, but apparently don't on this journal, and I always got my CSS from others so I don't know it or how to do it specifically for LJ. But that's what you do, just put a line of CSS into customize journal theme :D

Not sure if this will work for you, but try going to the top bar, under journal, click journal style, then on the right hand side in the box where it says Ash's theme, click the Customize journal style. On the left column click Style and scroll down to the fonts section, some styles give you more options than others, but you should get to choose Large for font size or something.

Yeah - I've been into the font size section and I have it at 14, which is a fairly decent size, but I think it's still fairly smal. I want to post a meta / picspam thing in a while and I want the font to be larger than my default. I'll have a play though...
