Haven't had my morning coffee yet, so I'm gonna copy what I wrote elsewhere:

I loved last night's SPN episode. I love Death and Tessa! I'm not one of the huge Balthasar fans yet--I think he has to grow on me. Or perhaps it's because he was introduced in one of the S6 episodes that so had me doubting my SPN love, so therefore a new S6 character was colored for me by that. *shrugs*

There was so much tension in last night's episode. And I found myself thinking that Jared as Robo!Sam would make an outstanding horror film killer. I truly believed he would kill Bobby and I actually thought the ep might go that way. And/or have Death!Dean show up and have to chose between killing Bobby or taking off the ring and losing the chance of getting Sam back. And I love Death. Seriously great character (and actor).

(back to real time commenting...!)

I loved Dean and Tessa's scenes together. I had a feeling that nurse was gonna pay the price for Dean's decision to not take the girl. Honestly just the whole storyline with Dean as Death was great. Although I did find myself wondering if there was only 1 Death and Death had to touch someone before they could be reaped, how did Death possibly handle the volume of world-wide deaths? And what was happening while Dean was Death to all the other people in the world whose time was up? But I shrugged that off because I was just enjoying it so much.

That scene where Dean and Sam were looking at each other through the panic room window was just...guh! For a moment I wondered if Dean had finally come to the place where he could and would kill Sam (by putting Death's ring back on.) And I truly felt like Sam was a truly different person at that moment--someone who could kill Bobby (and Dean) and someone who Dean could put-down as an unhuman being. Ung!

And then Death popping up with his black bag. Sam's soul was just specular looking! I actually smiled because I felt like I could feel Sam in it. (What? I'm not totally over-invested in this show, am I?) I kept looking at the time during that ending scene and realized they were gonna cut it off just at the best part! ;)

Hey,

Excellent point about Death. And I suppose we are not meant to think too hard about it - which is silly because OF COURSE we are going to think about these things. It would have been nice if they gave us a reason about that. There are thousands of deaths occurring simulateaneously all over the world... so yeah. Did people stop dying for a while??

For a moment I wondered if Dean had finally come to the place where he could and would kill Sam

Interesting thought. Dean messed up the order of things by bringing Sam back initially - maybe he did think that he "right" that by killing him now. Though I think Dean would always find a reason not to kill Sam...

I can't believe Sam almost killed Bobby. I wonder what he will think of that when he looks back on his soulless! time.
