Vid notes

I've been toying with the idea of doing a follow up to Supernatural: At the Movies for a while. When spn_cinema announced their movie prompts challenge it seemed like the perfect opportunity to get off my butt and start making it.

The concept is the same as my first one. I'm inspired by the way the Show homages movie genres and the way it blatantly "borrows" from actual movies. My aim is to capture elements of each style or genre and showcase them by editing them together.

I claimed Psycho because I remember the episode "Wishful Thinking" homaging the shower scene so wonderfully. I wanted to retell Hitchcock's film Supernatural style. :)

No money made but comments are always gratefully (and warmly) accepted.

Oh! OH. This is brilliant! I liked them all but the Saminator and Fast and Fierce bits are my favorite.

I really think this turned out PERFECT!

I can't even say why. But it looks all so smooth and right and the music is perfect. It looks like a lot of work went into this. It's flawless in every way!:D

It is quite a bit of work - but I always have so much fun making these it doesn't really feel like it. Though it take a lot of time, which is why I think I procrastinated for long before I made it.

Ahhhh.... I wondered where it was blocked. I got a message from YT about content but it didn't tell me where it was blocked. I assumed Germany was one place... :(

I am so glad you liked Cracked... I figure you have to know the movie to understand the references. But I love that Show chose to use those angles and close ups to directly homage that film.

So so SO amazing. I LOVED all the fluid, circular movement in the dramatic one (Waking the Dead, I think?) in particular. I think that was my favorite. I'm just so in awe over how you pick just EXACTLY the right moments and then edit them so flawlessly to evoke the feel you're going for. INCREDIBLE.

oh my god, i love this SO MUCH. especially the last few homages - 28 days later, the fast & furious movies, apocalypse now, and rom-coms. how cute were the boys way back then! with the pranking! and the grinning! and the brotherly ribbing! and the saminator bits were creepily edited, which i also really liked. so much movie goodness, seriously.

Just one question: what was the third film based on? Waking Death? I didn't recognise that.

Thank you. And yes... the last one is a little nostalgic I suppose. We haven't really seen them this happy together in a while (though I hold out hope that they are back to this now...)

Waking Death isn't actually based on a specific movie. I wanted to create an 'arthouse" section so I chose a theme (circles) rather than a story. For me it was more about melding images and creating a flow with the editing. There is a movie called Waking Life I believe. Maichan chose the name for this segment. (and some others... *g*)
