Sometimes I miss posts. I'm not sure why but I'm wondering if it's because of the way I use LJ. I'm not sure about anyone else but I when I log on I scroll down my flist's posts until I come to the first one I can remember seeing. Then I stop there.

I know that posts are time dependent. If you work on a post and save it and post it the next day it will end up buried and the chances are no one will see it. So I figure the time something is posted needs to be absolutely current (I suspect even an hour later would make a difference to where it appears on other peoples flists).

I wonder if it's a time thing. Perhaps I should scroll down further maybe? Is there another way of "doing" LJ?

I nearly missed THIS AMAZING post re the last episode 7.16. If you love looking at the meaning of colours and FLOWERS and scenery and all that juicy stuff then you have to check out [livejournal.com profile] galwithglasses post. Looking at posts like this make you realise how damn clever our is.

I have officially cut my working hours down to 4 days a week. WOOT! I had my first day off today and it was brilliant. Sure, it mean less money but it also mean MORE SANITY. I'll take the latter any day. I know there are some excesses we can cut back on if we need to. But having a 3 day weekend is just what I needed.

Off to see This Means War at our local outdoor cinema tonight. I rather like the idea of watching a movie outside. With a picnic. With some (new *g*) friends.

SHOW TOMORROW! \o/ \o/

See, I've noticed the exact same thing, and I browse my flist the same way you do. I've also tried making posts with changed timestamps and gotten some really funky results, so I'll be really interested in the comments made here by more informed (and more useful) responders to this post. For that matter, I'm kind of overall confused about how timestamps work on LJ anyway, regarding the time zone thing and the "local time" stamps that wind up on comments, etc.

tl;dr: Time...how does it work?

Time is really weird on LJ I suspect. I've had some funky results too. I've taken to just opening a new post and cutting and pasting anything I've been working on. I'm always curious about how others do stuff here..:)
