Notes

After watching this video I was struck by how similar the cellists look like Sam and Dean. I thought it would be pretty easy to cut up footage from Supernatural and blend them together with the cello footage. I've always wanted to montage the boys fighting and this seemed like a good opportunity to do that. Well, it wasn't nearly as easy as I thought. Trying to get the right mix of each footage and create a structure that (hopefully) means something ended up being a pain in the butt bit of a struggle. But like a dog with a bone I kept at it (with cupidsbow's help) and ended up with something I'm pretty happy with. In fact, there's an edit in here that is probably one of my all time favourites ever. It won't look like much to anyone else, but it makes me bounce whenever I watch it.

It's weird that I really don't like it when they boys beat each other up, but man...it's pretty sexy when they do (is shallow *g*)

weeee :) It's like pavlovian at this point. I see a vid from you, and not only do I \o/, but I think of it in terms of that emoticon!

4shared gave me Smile Like You Mean It to download instead, (sigh, yeah, YT blocked in the US. Never happened before, actually) but Sendspace saved the day.

Anyway, very fun to watch :) I like how you used clips of the cellists that kept it from being obvious they weren't the boys, and how well you made the sharp accents in the music punctuate the hits and blows they were dealing out. It's really interesting to see that much violence without any sound from all the physical damage around them. I also scrolled down to see which editing bit you really loved, and yeah, absolutely, that quick little flash of clips looks fantastic together :D

Um... the Smile Like you Mean it dl was my fault.../o\ I pasted the wrong link. (Oh man.. *hides*) It's fixed now. Hopefully I've sorted out all the kinks...

I'm surprised it's blocked in the US. It's a shame because that's where most of the YT views come from.

But thank you!! I'm so glad those bits worked for you. I concentrated a lot on getting the hits on the beats - it's something I really enjoy when editing.
