Many thanks to
deirdre_c, who not only donated money for the Typhoon Haiyan fundraiser but who graciously allowed me to vid this song for her. I've had this song in mind for a while and when I mentioned my idea she liked it and went with it. AND I made her beta it also. Thank you so much darlin'. You're just too lovely for words. <3
And thanks to the twitter peeps who helped me with some clip finding! <3
Notes: I suppose this is my way of dealing with the constant breaking up of these two. It does my head in! There's a line in the song that pretty much sums up my feelings on it - which is why this song appeals (I put it at the end of the vid). I know it's a very poppy pop song, but it just fits these two and it haunted me wherever I went (song seemed to pop up all over the place), so I caved in and put what I was imagining onto a timeline.
It's particularly tough at the moment because there's an edge to their relationship that almost suggests that getting back together isn't such a great idea. But can we just pretend that it is? That being together, being brothers in their crazy world, does them more good than harm.

Date: 2014-05-02 08:50 am (UTC)On to the vid...beautiful work hon, the clips you chose were perfect for this perfect song, which I hadn't actually heard before, but it suits them down to the ground and the humour and fun just sing out all the way through. You've captured so many things here, all those little moments that captures their true feelings, be it worry or anger at times, the teasing, the high spirited sheer joy that used to emanate from our show is right here in this vid. I have to wonder when our show became so bloody miserable...oh, yeah, I remember now!
This is definitely a keeper for many a long desolate episode reviver, 'gifs' are for Christmas, vidding is forever...
THANK YOU for cheering me up, off to watch again now.

Date: 2014-05-05 10:11 am (UTC)Wow, thank you for such lovely feedback. I am thrilled you like it. I debated about doing this for a while because the song is so poppy, but I wanted to make a point that even though times look dire they will find their way back to each other. Carver has made it feel like they would be better off apart so my hope is that he will make it abundantly clear that they are, in fact, better off together.
We can but hope!
Thanks again. Your comment (and mention on your journal) has filled me with warm fuzzies. <3333
