Spoilers! Sort of...

ash48So I'm home sick today. Well, more like I'm just poorly with a cold. I'm snuggled up in bed with hot tea and my computer and I suddenly had the urge to play "speculation".
There's been so many spoilery comments from the actors and crew around - especially on twitter or tumblr. They've left me very perplexed (and excited actually). They don't say "this is what actually happens"- they're more like....
They're more like actors saying things about the last 5 minutes like "the end made me cry", "they actually went there", "fans are going to freak out, it's chilling and disturbing","it changes the SPN landscape" and Jensen's: “The moment the screen goes to black. The last second. There are multiple characters involved. There’s a predicament now.” and Misha's: "I was definitely shocked. I thought, ‘Can they do this?’". I've also read there's a intense brother moment also.
I can't even with all that information! Mostly, I just can't imagine anything happening that will measure that level of "shocked and disturbing" (well, maybe if they do decide to of go the Wincest route. I figure that would be pretty shocking (and surprising!) and I'm sure some would consider it disturbing also. But nah, there's no way they'd go there).
I've always thought that one brother will kill the other. It makes sense of the story line (Cain and Able) and possibly ties into the opening episode. I figured that in order to "save" Dean, Sam will have to kill him. Or that Dean is so possessed that he kills Sam.
But that all seems to obvious and not nearly "landscape changing" enough. Death of a Winchester is almost formula for a season ender, so I don't think it fits the "we've never seen this before" comment from Jared.
We've already been to Heaven, Hell and Purgatory so them all being transported to a new dimension seems off the cards also.
I can't think of who could be introduced as a new big bad. Not sure what could top Lucifer rising. Though of course God making an appearance would probably top that (especially if he looked like John Winchester ;D).
Dean could turn demonic. But I don't think that would be a huge game changer. I mean, it would set up story lines for the beginning of S10, but ultimately he'd be back to Dean Dean so...yeah. Not sure what that would achieve (other than extra hot demon!Deanness).
That's really got me scratching my head.
I'm certainly more excited about the finale than I was - if only now to find out what on earth all those spoilery comments could be referring to.
Whatever happens it sounds like we're going to need to cling to each other.

Mark of Cain has to mean something, so I am expecting Dean will become a Knight of Hell.
Things that worry me about that - Sam might actually have to kill him for him to re-animate as a thing from Hell - not good, not saying dramatically it won't be good, but I have to survive hiatus and I'm not looking forward to the "Sam is a meanie killing his brother" versus the "Sam is so strong, granting Dean an honourable death" kind of arguments - what can I say, I'm a coward!
Good things, Sam can cure a demon, now whether he can cure a Knight straight off the bat is another matter, but it's a quest maybe for next year? Save Dean and actually you know? SAVE DEAN!! In the mean time can we keep Dean in chains in the Bunker's Dungeon for a while - feral and furious and spitting hell fire? No? Oh well, just me then...
Other than that, I'd like Metabordom and his woolly cardigan gone, Heaven open, Hell open, Death to come in and kick everyone's arse, (including Carver), reclaim his reapers and set the world back to human occupation only Let's get back to some outside forces threatening the Winchesters and the brothers back as central characters in the show.
When they cure Dean of his demonitis, can we stop with the dick attitude?
I'd also like to see Sam settled in his skin, a purpose in his life that includes him in the show not a desperately unhappy man forced into a life he hates - that just makes me so fucking miserable, so sorry Sam, you is going to have to stay in the life until the show ends, yeah, I thought the MOL Bunker was going to be a wonderful story line and home for you, but as that makes you miserable too, hunting it is, really sorry, but thems the breaks mate, so sue me, I'm mean.
It's not too much to ask is it? *facepalm* don't answer that!

And oh my yes. Sam looked so content in the bunker at one point. Like he has finally found a place to call home. But then they had to screw that up and say it was just a "work" place for him. They truly have no idea what makes Sam tick. Not sure if that's because he's too complex for him, or if they just haven't taken the time to work him out.
I'm terrified for the finale I have to say. I have a feeling they are setting up for next season and possibly cramming all those open story threads into one ep.
We'll see. This time tomorrow we'll know for sure! *clings*

Date: 2014-05-20 12:44 pm (UTC)Yeah, I was very disappointed they didn't make the Bunker a safe home and haven for BOTH of them, would have really enjoyed seeing them rebuilding the MOL and opening up the show to new characters that lived longer than half an episode. If the guys want more time off it would have been a great way of splitting up episodes too, so yeah, I was upset when they chose to have Sam say that. Same way I was upset over the "Benny's a better brother than you" shit last year.
I don't know why but seeing them so miserable and hateful of their situation makes me so sad, hardly good entertainment, and right now there doesn't seem to be much hope, whereas before, you always knew they had each other and the Impala, Bobby on the phone and an angel on their shoulder.
Hopeful something will happen tomorrow to bring back some of that comfort and connection.
