I definitely have stuff I want to say about this episode but I'm so short of time. Just returned from visit my family over east and now getting ready for my daughter's epic 18th party. I'd still love to know what you all thought of 10.18. In short, I loved it. The longer version will contain Sam stuff - and a slightly changed view of the show (or rather, it's clearer to me what they are doing now…)

The Thule Society who seemed to have slipped right off the grid lately!

Such a shame! They were really cool.

This IS Supernatural, that's what they do, they don't live in my world, so I can applaud their over indulgent co-dependent, two fingered outlook on their world as a thing of delight, it wouldn't be Supernatural if they didn't fuck the world up for each other. I'll say it, I love that about them.

Ok. So THIS is what my "other thoughts" were going to mostly contain. They are seriously fucked up but damn if they don't love each other so much they would destroy the world to keep themselves together. That episodes re-emphasised that (finally!) and it was good to get those feeling again.

I agree about the heavy-handedness, but it is necessary some times (especially when their subtleties can be mis-interpreted).

Maybe I should be ashamed I can get passed it, but good grief this isn't the only show on TV with major issues but I'm bloody tired of being shamed and feeling I should apologise at every turn for enjoying escapism TV.

Ha! Word! It also makes it easier when the show makes it clear that they KNOW how wrong it all is and that this is the journey its taking us on. I also love the conversations it opens up (S9 in particular) and if TV can open up cans of worms for (hopefully civil) discussion then it's doing something interesting.

I want it to continue to be messed up - it a good way! :)
