Oh dear...:(

We just got the call to say my daughter didn't make the final cut for the WA Nationals Team. :( She is devastated of course. A difficult thing for a 12 year old to understand. Even when we tell her she did well to get where she did. She was the best shot put thrower in the squad, but she needed another event and unfortunately she just wasn't able to demonstrate her potential during the trails.

Oh well. It's all part of life. Learning to deal with disappointment is all part of growing up I suppose. Sucks though.

Oh man that does suck. Commiserations to her - and I know it doesn't feel like it for her right now but it's awesome that she got this far at such a young age. Not even technically a teenager yet - still so much opportunty. Hopefully this will fuel her determination to go even further next time.

We just found out that another girl, who is not as good as her did get in... so we are confused about what's happened.

We are not in for a good day... :(
