ash48We just got the call to say my daughter didn't make the final cut for the WA Nationals Team. :( She is devastated of course. A difficult thing for a 12 year old to understand. Even when we tell her she did well to get where she did. She was the best shot put thrower in the squad, but she needed another event and unfortunately she just wasn't able to demonstrate her potential during the trails.
Oh well. It's all part of life. Learning to deal with disappointment is all part of growing up I suppose. Sucks though.

Date: 2010-04-06 06:47 am (UTC)It's been a tough day, that's for sure. Never knew a person could shed so many tears. But she is already trying to think ahead to next year ... hopefully she'll stay strong.
Harder now that all those that did get in are celebrating on Facebook... *encourages her to not look*.
