I've just spent all morning on LJ! What the...? How did that happen? Ok, so I'm working up some posts... but seriously?! *sheesh* I know there are much more important things to be doing like...um... vacuuming, doing the dishes, planning for next term... *tries not to think about them*

I'm going to put together a podfic rec post at some point soon (spurred on by a friend's request for podfic rec's) as I've been listening to a few lately. I'll no doubt ask for some of yours as well. I'm always on the lookout for new fics to listen too. (So put your thinking caps on!).

We bought a treadmill on the weekend. /o\ New mantra: It will not gather dust, it will not gather dust, it will...

I'm going to see Eclipse with my daughter today. I am not, in the slightest bit, a Twilight fan. I've heard this is better than the last two - but just how scared should I be?? I'm already dreading it. But in the name of mother & daughter bonding I will make sacrifices.

Oooh - and I've conducted my first (vidding related) interview! Yay. Stay tuned.. :)

I am not a Twilight fan, but I go to the movies with my friends for fun. Tomorrow is our Eclipse outing. I don't think anything can be worse than the second movie, so it should be OK! I will be there in solidarity with you. *g*

ooh so you're a bit of a treadmill expert? Cos I may have almost convinced my folks I can put one in my sister's old room with a TV. lol. Though at the pace things happen here in my parents house, it may be a long time coming. I am worried they may require much maintenance? Do they?

Hee! I wouldn't say I was an expert.

We bought an x-gym treadmill (in a clear out auction), so it's pretty full on and very tough. Hubby reckons it won't require a lot of maintenance. (It's bloody big though and weighs a tun!)

I think with a "made for home" tread mill it would depend on the quality. The cheaper it is the more maintenance it might require I'd say. Maybe check the warranty or ask around before you decide on one.

Of course - now I just have to make sure I keep getting on the thing! :)

Hee! Yes it would. This came about in a weird way actually. I mentioned it to hubby and he said the local auction house had some x-gym treadmills going so we checked it out an ended up buying one. It's pretty good (and only cost $300). Jut gotta use it now.

And I only just survived that movie! My god! How much teen angst can they cram into one movie!? It doesn't help that I do not find Edward attractive AT ALL, so I have no idea what Bella sees in him. I could rant about it, but I won't. I did end up having a lovely time with my daughter. She kept asking me "is it ok? Are you liking it?". Sweet.

Ooh Simpsons and bonding. Yes, I can understand that. Simpsons is great I reckon. :)

And yes. A treadmill is an exercise machine. One for walking and running on. When I go to the gym it's the piece of equipment I like the most (it means I can listen to podfics!) - but yeah, I just gotta keep getting on it. I hate being older and having to exercise. I used to just naturally burn it off, alas - no longer. :((

Little explanation: My son has always loved the Simpsons and at first I watched it with him to share the happy mood he always develops around that show and also to be able to understand what he was talking about when he talked about it. And I just ended up loving them because I share them with my son I guess.

And about "naturally burning it off when younger"....tell me about it...*pouts over gained weight*
A YT friend called me "my old friend" the other day (we've known each other quite a while) and I took it personal and started feeling old. *facepalm* I keep telling myself I only get wiser... *ignores reality*

Hee! Podfic virgin. :D Once you get started you begin to realise all the places you can be and be listening to a story. In the car, exercising, waiting for appointments. On a plane is the best place! :D
