Serious fandom business (aka seeking the flist's advice..)

So, I've been blathering about this bromance vid my muse seems determined to kill me with. I'm still not sure this will actually happen, but I am pursuing it to see how far I can go before it all becomes too hard.

Step one is confirming the bromance pairings I have.

To qualify as "bromance" I am looking for pairings where 2 males care deeply for each other. Mateship, male bonding, BBF's, platonic love (I'd sell my soul for you Sammy) kind of friendship.

I'm interested to know if anyone thinks that either a) there are pairings I am missing and b) if some of these don't really qualify (as in friends, but not "I'd be a lesser person without you" type of friend). I am hoping to shrink the list, so if you think any of these don't belong I'd be really interested to know.

I am also looking for the perfect song. I can actually do that part myself but if you have any ideas you know I am all ears.

Also, because of this, I have discovered a new (well, quite old now) TV show and it has become my new addiction. It's The Sentinel and I am like... JIM AND BLAIR!! \o/ *smishes*ancastar for the incredibly detailed info on this series. At the moment I just can't get enough.

Hmmm... I think I would have to respectfully disagree with Killa on that one - I think there is more there between those two than between Dean and Castiel. (Also? That's a pairing you should investigate, love. Seasons four and five of Highlander rocked).

Not that I think you want more on your list, but there's also Johnny and Bruce from Dead Zone and Micheal and Brian from QAF, both of which have a lot of people who ship them, although my only ship in Dead Zone is Johnny/Walt, and I don't ship Brian/Micheal at all.

Also, Sentinel is getting harder and harder to find. You want me to just e-mail you some word docs?

Yeah - I wasn't really sure about Dean and Castiel. And I can't comment about The guys from Highlander because I've never scene it. (Though I did love the first movie..)

And have you seen my list!!??? Arghh... there's no way I am going to able able to include them all. Actually I will be relying on other vidders provide me with some of the footage, so it may just depend what I end up with. :) But I will add those other pairings to the list.

Michael and Brian are just friends yeah? I can't remember if they were ever more than that.

And yay!! Thanks for the sentinel fics. I will enjoy those (as soon as I get some time....).

Watch the first three seasons of Highlander. They're not the ones the fandom likes, but they're much more like the cheesetastic first movie.

Much as I like Duncan and Methos, I don't see them as a "bromance" at all. They do, however, have a lot of "I'm a better person because of you!" stuff going on. But they don't trust each other enough and their friendship isn't exclusive enough to count IMO. (I'd say Duncan's friendship with Joe is at least as significant if you've watched the whole show and not just the Methos-centric episodes, and it contributes to both of them being better people instead of just Duncan reforming Methos. But Joe is played by an older guy with no legs. He's still pretty hot, and fandom does like him, but he doesn't get to run around threatening people with swords, and Duncan doesn't homoerotically shove him up against walls and so on.)

I would love to have the time to watch any of the series. I'm cramming in The Sentinel and White Collar at the moment. I might be able to pick up Highlander after that. :)
