Meh!

Holy crap. I'm on such a vidding downer at the moment - which is pathetic really when there are so many more things in life to be down about! Maybe that's a good thing - my life is pretty good, so the fact that vidding is the thing that brings me to tears should be a good thing!

Weird thing is when I'm actually making a vid it's almost like an aphrodisiac - I'm usually on such a high. Then I post something - and I go through such a friggin' low and vow never to make another video again. (Well, that usually lasts for a few days until I'm inspired by something else). *sigh*

The point is, YT is usually my litmus test for how a vid is working and if my recent post is anything to go by it won't be seen anywhere else - (I think my first ever vid received a better reaction!) which is a bummer actually because I didn't think it was half bad!

So anyway. Dusts self off, has a few days off and returns to the crack vid which I'm having great fun with! I suppose enjoying the actually vidding part is what it is all about. :)

Hey Katie - so I'm not the only one huh? Sucks big time really 'cause it kinda puts a downer on the whole vidding thing. BUT - it's a new day and I'm not going to let it drag me down. :D

Thanks also for the confidence boost. I will post it 'cause damn it! I'm 98.5% happy with it.

Don't let view counts get you down! If I judged the quality of my videos by view counts, I'd need some serious Paxil because all of my SPN vids get about 10% of the viewership that my Prison Break ones did. While feedback is always awesome, I wouldn't be vidding if I didn't genuinely enjoy the process as well.

And OMG, so excited for new Ash crack!

Hey maichan - it's not so much the views (if fact I thought that was pretty good) it's the lack of feedback. Which I know is not the be all and end all, but I figure the vid just didn't work. *sigh*

Oh crack! yay! - and hun I really hope you won't think I'm pinching an idea of yours (well, I suppose you did make me realise I could do it like this). I've been careful not to make it anything like yours - it's just the idea that's similar. eeek! I hope that's ok.

Umm - when I post it you'll know what planet I'm on.

I'm really curious about which vid it is you're talking about, now.

And I just watched one of yours and it's awesome but YT never let me leave a comment, I don't know why? I tried and tried and I couldn't get it to let me, and now I've forgotten my log in. So maybe that's part of it? People just don't have a way of leaving one?

If the vid is on LJ I try to leave comments :D Like "Take me to the Hospital" which I did comment on, but I've watched it again since and I was even more impressed with the way you used the beat of the music with the clips.

Actually it was "Black Dog" - my title vid. Usually I get a few comments but that one just didn't - so it had me down.

I haven't posted it here - 'cause, I don't know, I kinda feel that it just didn't hit the right note. Though I was actually quite proud of what I had done with it. Also the YT quality is pretty awful. I might get up the courage to post it sometime.

Vidding is like that sometimes. Though "Different Kind of Knight" had a good reaction so that lifted my spirits. And I know it shouldn't really bother me - but...yeah...

Ah! I have this huge phobia of being wrong, so I didn't comment that I thought "Black Dog" was the vid you meant, which was the one I watched, and I thought it was awesome &hearts I loved what you did with the images and the introduction of the actors' names, etc! I really liked it and the music you chose, and it would make a totally kick-ass title sequence, so there :P
