So this officially hits the top of my list as the most fun I've had making a vid. This presented a number of new challenges which I relished.

This vid really does show my age! Though not all TV shows are as ancient as me, so there's (hopefully) something for everyone. I've been wanting to do this for a while (ever since "Supernatural 5-0" and "Supernatural Dukes") and I took my time over this (for a change).

Special thanks to the lovely deirdre_c for her encouraging words and to my wonderful beta _sharvie_ whose eye for detail never ceases to amaze me (and keep me on my toes!). These gals helped give it the spit and polish it needed.

Haaahaha, that was fantastic! I found myself grinning through the whole thing (and pleased that I only missed one of the themes, I have to admit *g*). I really love how you tailored the visuals to fit the credits; I think the Knight Rider bit was my favorite. And the use of Carry On My Wayward Son made me ridiculously happy. :)

Ash, this was unbelievable! xD
the "open credits" was gorgeous!and with this music - really i started laughing from the beginning) Btw, did you do it in Vegas? Can i ask how?)

the "ER" thing - GUH! I was already under my table at this moment....LOL. Even though it was kinda sad and serious moment - iwas laughing.

And the moment with the "knight rider" (it was my fav tv show when i was kid xD) - loved it!

Buffy - rocks! LOL, it was so fun to guess wich show you used for the each piece!

And on the Mission impossible moment - how did you do this stripe?o.0

Ok, and the last piece - our lovely carry on my wayward son - i loved it the most)

Srsly, this is one of the funniest vid i`ve ever seen! GREAT idea, very unique and nifty, definitely download and keep forever! Thanks for sharing!^^

Hey Loki, thanks so much hun. I'm thrilled you enjoyed it.

I use Final Cut Express (which I imagine is similar to Vegas).

Overlaying the TV shots was just a matter of scaling down the footage, cropping, centering and tweaking with an effect called a "4 point garbage matte". It took quite a bit of fiddling I have to say.

The MI burning fuse was the hardest and most complicated. It has 4 overlaying shots, one the TV, one the footage, one the burning dot (which I made in Live Type) one the stripe (which is a black clip which I turned white) and then a lot of key framing to make it move. Matching the dot with the moving line and timing it with the wipe transition was the hardest. Hope that answers your questions. If not let me know and I can go into more detail.

Here because tvm recced this, and she was totally right. This is both awesome and brilliant. Ummm, I have to admit that I'm not familiar with all the themes you used (didn't recognise anything music-wise til ER), so I probably didn't get ALL of your brilliance *g*, but I thought it was incredible. I love the concept of it, and how smoothly you executed that. The Knight Rider segment may be my favourite - but I'll have to rewatch a few times to be sure ;)
