I wasn't really taken with that episode I have to confess. I started writing up why and it sounded like sour grapes so I've decided to just say that even though it had some funny moments (Jensen and his physical comedy being a highlight) and a couple of cute bro moments (Sam ribbing Dean while watching the wrestling), overall it left me feeling pretty flat and disappointed (and a bit squicked tbh). It might be that I'm feeling flat today due to a cold, so I'll watching it again to get a better perspective (though I will have to skip the Lucifer & Crowley scenes and the torture scene *meep*)

Happy to discuss in comments if anyone wants to chat. :)

Oh my GOD yes!!! I think I almost punctured the skin in both hands through clenching my fists in anger and disbelief at that line. Dean gives Cas a total and complete pass for letting the freaking devil out of the cage that Sam gave up his life and sanity for, (and endured hundreds of years of torture to put back in), and when Sam inadvertently set Lucifer free, not by purposely saying yes goddamnit, Dean punishes him for an entire season!!!

I had actually written a huge response to your reaction post about last week's episode, but it was so bitter and angry I ended up deleting it before I could hit enter. I liked the premise of the episode, and the sub scenes were fabulous, but I didn't like much of the rest at all. I thought Jared's acting wasn't up to scratch in that ep. (There's something I never thought I'd say) Instead of seeing Sam like I normally do, I saw Jared acting, and it took me out of the moment. It felt like Misha playing Cas being over the top Lucifer threw Jared off his game.

It's cool. I never mind it when people have different reactions to mine - not matter how bitter. It's why I post reactions - mainly to see what others thought. I know not everyone liked last week's ep (and not everyone disliked this one).

Up until last night I wasn't annoyed about the Lucifer storyline - but now that I can see that they really aren't going to connect Sam with it I can understand why many are upset about it. Such a shame (but, tbh, nothing that surprises me. Show has left me so disappointed in the past really should be used to it by now…).
