No. I won't bore you with how hard this vid was for me. Well .... maybe a little bit. There are a lot of firsts for me here. Not only the subject matter but the use of out-sourced footage, effects I've never used before and the fact that I never thought I'd make an AU vid in my (vidding) life. It's damn hard and I have immense admiration for vidders who achieve it.

I primarily wanted to explore the links between violence and sex, the power play between the brothers and how they communicate their desires.

I know there are flaws here. And I could probably work on it for another month to iron them all out, but enough is enough. I'm happy with this. It's ended up being more than I imagined when I started out.

Feedback will be cherished. *bites nails*

I liked it! I liked the way you showed how Dean was feeling while he was beating the shit out of Sam. :P

But I especially loved when it got towards the end and the way you edited the clips to make those smouldering looks really appear to mean something MORE -- like when Sam threw Dean up against the wall.

*hugs* I will have to watch it again!

Oh! And I loved the part where you showed both Sam and Dean with women -- and the implication that they were drowning their feelings for each other (and jealous of each other, especially Dean).

Eek! Dean with women?! *fails* .... actually yeah, my manipping obviously didn't translate.... biggest problem with AU's - taking clips out of context. But equally if that worked in that context then, cool!!

Aw! You didn't fail, honest! It's much more likely that I just misinterpreted because I'm slow on the uptake.

But if I watched it again (and I just put it on my MP3 player) I would probably 'get' more of what was happening. I'm absolutely sincere when I say that often I do not read between the lines well in fanvideos and it seems like everyone else got what the vidder meant, and I didn't.

But it was awesome and I think you should be proud of yourself. You stuck with it and you created something awesome -- just like, in my opinion, you always do!

Wow, powerful stuff! For me, you achieved what you set out to do. The choice of clips, how you've put them together, and the whole 'look' of the vid really work.

(Plus, you've nailed a couple of my kinks so hard that this could be tailor-made for my viewing...!)

Wow! That was amazing! I'm kind of floored--I so rarely view vids, but the premise sounded interesting. I'm so glad I clicked. The music and images meshed up perfectly, as did the other clips. (and great choice of music, btw.) The transitions were so smooth, and the color pulled everything together. Nice bit with the memories in black and white. I'm still in awe over this vid! The external footage alone makes me giddy just thinking about. Lots of times it never seems to blend just right with the vid but the effect you built here is killer!

Plus, you broke your AU cherry! Whoo! They are tough to pull off but when done right, like this is, they can produce some seriously powerful stuff. I just love how you always bring it back to the emotions. Yes, I do love me some porn clips, but imo, it's not over done here. It's perfectly balanced with the emotions that drive the vid. Bravo!

And the fact that this love/hate relationship is practically canon!? Only makes it that much better. :P

Very powerful (and hot)! Fantastic editing and a great AU. You blended the out-sourced footage in so well with the boys that it was easy to stay focused on what's happening in the video, not where the video came from. I also liked the bit with Ruby being in black and white; it does insinuate Sam's infidelity is the catalyst for the violence. However which way, this video was totally ~relevant to my interests~ and I'm glad you shared! I wish all the angst from this season could be resolved like this, haha.

Anyway, congrats on your first AU vid! They are exhausting aren't they? ;) definitely a different sort of vid for you but that's the best part as a vidder...getting to try something new (even though it can drive you crazy when you're actually making it :P)

I think you did a great job incorporating the other footage. I loved how you had it interwoven with the music, gave it kind of a rock music video feel. And you could definitely feel the tension between the boys.

Never thought you'd make something like this but you made me go "wooohooooo" and watch this vid with open mouth. Like, seriosuly, duuuuudeeeee....That was very hot, and very interesting. I really liked the idea of connection between violence and sex, and I think you totally managed to show it. I really liked the beats, and how you used the clips from 106 (for example) and turned the sense upside down. That was hoooot ;) Use of outside footage was really well done, really liked it. Where did you get from those hot clips, huh? =)
Also I really loved some of the "new" effects you used - very nifty ;) Now I'm not even sure if you use Sony vegas 8... lol
